Introduction:
Trade & Working Capital (T&WC) is a division of the Payments organization. Instrumental to this role is previous experience and skills of developing and communication of product strategies and presenting the outcome to senior management.
Job Summary:
You will be part of the Trade & Working Capital Team and will help scale the business across platforms and promote specialized product and partnership strategy. You will have the opportunity to work across the business on projects, developing growth strategies, assessing and planning product and market entry, and business deep dives.
Job Responsibilities:
- work across Trade & Working Capital products working closely with the product heads and team leads to identify partnership opportunities, develop new products/expand new offerings and lead with ad hoc strategic and development initiatives.
- Actively support the Global T&WC head in developing, aligning and delivering go to market business strategy in response to emerging industry trends and market developments (across product lines).
- Partner with Product leads to assess opportunities and create comprehensive business cases for the optimised business growth, portfolio diversification and effective risk management.
- Manage fintech partner identification, outreach and execution including prospecting, due diligence, and ongoing relationship management.
- Work across Trade & Working Capital, Payments and other Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Lines of Business (LOBs) to identify market trends and align strategic business/product development to T&WC mission critical goals and objectives.
- Promote innovation and foster engaging environment for optimum decision making on franchise development.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Experienced individual in applying specialist expertise in strategy and business development, and understanding of trade finance structures and solutions, across sectors and geographies.
- Deep knowledge of trade finance market practices, with the ability to determine what is market norm across multiple jurisdictions.
- Have a working level knowledge of corporate finance, capital and funding models, and the impact on Risk Weighted Assets (RWAs) and returns.
- Effective at developing and managing stakeholders internally in the firm, and externally within the industry, with proven leadership skills.
- Successful at building trusted partner relationships with clients and key stakeholders and influencers within the business.
- Familiarity executing corporate partnerships with FinTechs
- Proven ability to lead, team player able to motivate and develop teams including senior members.
