Job Description

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of software to implement various product requirements within our IoT based Asset Monitoring & Logistics portfolio of products.
    General Responsibilities:
    • Development of device software for IoT products, including design, implementation, testing and releasing, using Sensata’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes.
    • Technical Leadership for software-related topics within a cross-functional product development team
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of software-related issues
    • Definition of hardware-software interface in collaboration with Systems and Hardware Engineering colleagues.
    • Continuous improvement of software development processes and tools to achieve fast and high-quality development.
    • Handles software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process
    • Participation in peer code reviews, providing constructive comments and suggestions.
    Essential Criteria:
    • At least 5 years industrial experience in a Senior Embedded Software Development role
    • Embedded software development in C or C++ to MISRA or similar standard
    • Understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle: Requirements capture tools, bug/issue tracking tools, software analysis and testing tools, documentation tools, compilers and debuggers
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and deliver results
    • Preferred experience/skills include:
    • Experience in development of embedded software for resource-constrained, low power devices, including wired and wireless interfaces
    • Experienced in full stack device developments, driver level, middleware, application layers etc.
    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team development: writing user stories, sprint planning, and workshops
    • Experience developing products/systems compliant to industry standard SW quality standard
