Position Summary:


Reporting to the Manager, Customer Excellence, the Project Manager (PM) will apply traditional Project Management skills to lead cross-functional teams in the support of BioProduction custom orders. The candidate will support the BioProduction sales team by ensuring accurate and timely transfer of information between the account managers, customers and internal operations. They will directly support key customers, building customer relation and loyalty through well-managed experiences with the BioProduction team.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Manager will be overall responsible for the management of individual custom orders for selected key accounts, as well as forecasted demand. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: timelines, achievement tracking, cost management, documentation, communication, report outs, dashboards, and all other requirements for the effective execution of the project per the contract and/or order.
  • Leads appropriately cross-functional collaborators to ensure efficient timing and within the scope of order/project/program. Daily goal is to meet or exceed our custom product turn around times and make decisions to assist the revenue goals for the business.
  • Accountable for building customer relationships, gathering customers need accurately, working in close contact with the commercial team to support business, and supplying timely responses to customer requests
  • Works with the Associate Project Managers to generate status reports to ensure customers are fully informed of the status of all orders, issues and complaints.
  • Is responsible for assembling, analyzing and reporting metrics around service, quality and communication
  • Needs to identify and understand the functional project components of the client and align the appropriate ThermoFisher resources and partners around each component.
  • Accountable for the successful resolution of action items from customer audits, customer meetings and ensuring the timely completion of customer complaints.
  • Leads cross-functional teams appropriate to support the timing and scope of the customer specific project or global programs that are initiated by ThermoFisher Scientific.
  • Will travel to visit customers during Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) or for specific Customer meetings working closely with the account manager to accomplish a pre-determined set of goals and objectives for face-to-face meetings.

Ultimately the PM is responsible for driving client satisfaction across the complete account and helping to develop a business alliance through their Projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • The ideal applicant will have experience leading and aligning project teams and have strong communication/customer service skills. Experience in aligning international business teams is a benefit.

  • Must have experience of working in a cGMP environment. Technical knowledge of the biotech industry and the “biological” drug development process is preferred.

  • 1-3 years of Project Management experience participating in cross-functional project teams.

  • Candidate should have a Biological Sciences qualification and a minimum of 3 years of technical or confirmed experience.

  • Must be an excellent teammate, an effective communicator and have an ability to address customer needs to drive project completion.

  • 10% of time required for international travel to customer sites and internal meetings.
